John Deere Pavilion held their 2nd annual Ag Education Day on July 25th. It was a beautiful day & we headed down to see what they had for the kids to do.
First stop was to pick up their baskets & "seeds". They planted their seeds in the dirt and "watered" the seed. The following stations included picking their full grown crop, fishing & picking corn. The kids took their baskets to the farmer's market to sell their products. It was a good set up to show the kids how farming is beneficial to everyone!
The kids loved riding the John Deere pedal tractors around the race track...I think Katie might be too big next year!!
Inside, we found many more activities including this pig! We were very surprised to see Maddie right up front & petting the pig!
Yes, these are my 4 kids...watching a video on farming...anything will do when TV is involved!
We went back outside to enjoy the weather - it was very windy - making it hard to take pictures with the balloons! The kids enjoyed their free milk & we ended our time at the petting zoo.
When did my babies grow up?? Now they are drinking milk straight from a carton!!
