Our first letterbox (where we met up with our friends) was "The Windmill". This letterbox had us driving out into the country, straight into a wind farm! Very cool.
We than headed south to Monticello to get "Bridge Street", "Legend of Buck's Pond" (x2) and 2 series in Allerton Park. Evidently Allerton Park is one of the 7 wonders in Illinois. We could see why! It is a very beautiful & unique park. We were able to find 5 of the 6 boxes here. We somehow misread the clues for the missing one, but didn't have the energy or time to try to retrace our steps!
Heading into Champaign we were looking forward to a handful of driveby boxes. We stopped at Mount Hope Cemetary and picked up "City of Hope" and "The Plane". Shorty was thrilled to find a hitchhiker in the "City of Hope" box! We couldn't believe the tree where "The Plane" was hidden!". Here is Alex showing us the tree (with a ring pop in her mouth!).

Katie & Alex had a blast at Woodlawn Cemetary...and it is one letterboxing stop that we won't soon forget. While Pitties was off trying to locate a third box, we were searching this area (picture below) for the 2nd box. The girls got bored and started playing with the peonies and throwing the petals up in the air. Katie soon announced that it was time for the wedding...our wedding! She said that her & Alex would be our flower girls. She told us where to stand (Matt walked me down the aisle). We then sat on one of the benches where Katie then became the minister! She picked up a flower petal and asked me if I wanted to marry Matt. "Do you love Daddy very much?" "Yes" I answered. She then asked Matt "Do you want to marry this Looooovely lady?" Matt answered, "Yes, I do" (side note...we are finding it very hard to not laugh this whole time!). Katie presented us with one single flower petal and said that we were married and we could kiss. We sealed the marriage with a kiss and Katie told us that we could now go on our honeymoon! So we loaded up and headed to the Comfort Inn (with the girls) and went swimming, ate pizza & all 4 VERY tired bodies drifted off to sleep! It was a lovely ceremony and we had witnesses with Agnes & Shorty!

At "Slow & Steady", we were unsuccessful with the box, but found this great statue!
We ended up getting home around 7 on Sunday - just in time to pick up the twins from Grammy & Grandad's and get all the kids in bed! We ended up with 23 boxes for the weekend, boxing with wonderful friends and swimming with 2 of our 4 wonderful kids!
